about
From Upstate New York, Mary Wenner was surrounded by storytellers. An actor for screen and stage, she has a deep interest in the humanity that is present in every story and the way in which performers can bring that humanity to light. As a child, she would perform the stories that her siblings told, eventually focusing on theatre in high school; it was then that she felt for the first time that she was doing something right. With a love for Shakespeare, complex human characters, and bringing truth to her work, Mary Wenner hopes to tell stories that highlight the true, the good, and the beautiful.

BA IN HUMANITIES - EMPHASIS IN MUSICAL THEATRE
WEST KORTRIGHT CENTRE'S SHAKESPEARE IN THE VALLEY
Tackled a style of comedy I hadn't tried before in this wacky show that included plenty of audience involvement. Performed at Patio Playhouse.
Studied in San Diego, CA at John Paul the Great Catholic University. It was here that I experienced acting on screen for the first time, and I fell in love with it. These years were spent under the guidance of Lee Eskey, Katelyn Slater, Monique Gaffney, and Kathryn Smith-McGlynn. Though I no longer do musical theatre regularly, I was able to grow as an actor, fine-tuning my skills and techniques.
Participated in a youth Shakespeare Festival for three years in a row under the direction of Lillian Meredith. Productions included A Midsummer Night's Dream (Oberon/Theseus), Much Ado About Nothing (Beatrice), and Macbeth (Lady Macbeth). Recently returned to assistant direct Julius Caesar and As You Like It.
